WOMEN’S MINISTRY SHEPHERD’S GATE DEVOTION VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

I’d like to thank all the ERBC ladies that have signed up to do Monday Morning Devotions at Shepherd’s Gate this year. I am still in need of ladies to do Monday devotions for November. The time for Devotions is 8:00 - 8:30 a.m. at Miracle Hill’s Shepherd’s Gate. I know that sounds early for some, but some could do Devotions before going to work or after dropping children off from school. Some could be like me and give up that extra cup of coffee to share Jesus’ love.

The devotion needs to be Biblical and simple enough to share in 30 minutes. I promise the ladies are so appreciative and you walk out so truly blessed for giving this time for Jesus and them.

Unless someone else wants to coordinate Monday Morning Devotions at Shepherd’s Gate, December will be our last Devotion times. Beginning Sunday, July 7 at 8:00 a.m. I will begin doing Devotions at Shepherd’s Gate every other Sunday.

Please pray how you can help with Devotions at Shepherd’s Gate: whether you would like to take November in 2019, coordinate Monday morning devotions (if another church doesn’t take it), or be a substitute for Devotions. Please contact me if you have any questions. Blessings, Peggy Murray - 864.569.3662

MORE KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY INFO

KAIROS Prison Ministry is an ecumenical Christian ministry designed for use in state and federal men's and women's correctional institutions in the United States and throughout the world.

The purpose of KAIROS is to establish a strong Christian community among the residents of correctional institutions. This is done by the presentation of a 3-day short course in Christianity. It is presented by an interdenominational team of about 55 persons for a group of 42 residents. The chaplain carefully selects the inmates from the prison population. The ideal recruits are those residents who are presently the leaders in the institution. There, they become Christ's agents for change in their environment that ultimately can bring about change in the attitude and quality of life for the entire institution.

The primary goal of the KAIROS ministry is to teach those who attend the weekend to become part of a share and prayer group. This allows them to share their lives on deep spiritual level and pray for one-another.

The South Carolina KAIROS website gives much more information, and Ed Chandler will be glad to talk to you further about how you can be involved. Please contact Ed at (864) 244-9153. You can also see a recent Post and Courier article on how KAIROS makes such a difference in men's lives!
